I think Bare Naked Ladies should remake If I had a Million Dollars to be Billion Dollars because 1 mil. just doesn't sound like rich anymore.  Sad.

New wind sheild today $256

David just bought a big girl bike for Kaley off craigs list.  Now he's off to get training wheels.  Sigh.

Inspired by  [info]dibranchiaand her menu planning I am going to start some of my own.  I'm looking around for recipes this week and will start with my grocery shopping trip this week.  Hopefully it will get some healthier food on my table.  And it will be easier for David to help with if there's a plan.  I came across a website that talked about freezer meals.  I was thinking it would be pre-cooked and you pull it from the freezer and re-heat.  No it was pretty much doing prep work and putting it in bags together in the freezer so then all you had to do was pull it out and cook it fresh.  Pretty much the way it was done at My Girlfriends Kitchen.  Which I loved everything from them.  I'm going to try some ideas like that.

Listing to The Burgler in the Rye by Lawrence Block.  I forgot how much I liked his writing style.  It's very much in the Philip Marlowe style only the reverse.  His books are all told from the theif/hit man point of view.  He has a copuple main character series a hit man and a theif and a PI.  If you are looking for something kind of light for the summer check one out.

Ok my tattoo turned out awesome!  I am soooo happy.  It was something on my life to-do list that has now been crossed off.  WoooHooo!  The pics are on my phone and I'm trying to figure out how to send them to an email adrdress.  So I can post them.  Now what's next on my life list I can work on crossing off.  Travel is probably out of the question at this time due to $$.  Maybe put my book into the works.  I think I will be aiming at trashy romance novel.  Maybe something YA.  I feel comfortable writing that genre.  I'm not thinking I'm gonna write the next great american novel I'd just like to put something on paper I could mail out.

Dinner was good too very expensive but I'm worth it.  Brazillian restaurant. If you've never been to one you should go unless you are a vegaterian.  Then that would be bad b/c they revolve around bringing you meat, meat and more meat.

Sunday lazy day.  Didn't leave the house.  Which was nice.  Kaley was being very well behaved and didn't stress me to the point I felt I needed to get out.  I still need to return the comforter I bought last week that doesn't match my paint.  My employees at work gave me a $50 visa gift card to spend on anything but the tattoo.  So that might be some sheets.

What is the most important technology every business owner should understand to make their business successful?

Oh just one thing.  Building your employees that means letting them know they are appreciated.  Helping them grow in their positions.  That's not technically technology but so many businesses don't reach their potential because of it.

Gee I'm so bored at work I'm just gonna keep answering these questions until it's time to go.  See my manager should be building me then I wouldn't be goofing on the internet.

Um I gotta say Scarlette O'Hara because she wasn't afraid to be herself.  Yeah people around her disliked her for it but she looked out for #1 which sometimes women forget to do.  She was also human and made mistakes and paid from them dearly.

Bugs me...Hum....the dog from Family Guy.  ICK.  I just don't get that show.

Easy...don't laugh.  Cyndi Lauper She's so Unusual.  Still love it!  I have actully gotten a better appreciation for her as an artist.  She has a beautiful singing voice.  You should check out her album of classics.  She has a duet with Tony Bennett on "making whoopie".  Beautiful.

Gearing up for my Birthday this weekend.  David is trying to line up the tattoo guy for me. Only bummer is I'll have to go by myself since we'll need someone to watch Kaley.  Jim and Stacy are watching her that night for us to go out.  The guy's shop is like 1.5 hrs away.  Errr.  I'm getting it on my hip.  I just hope the ride home isn't too uncomfortable.  I'll try and post a pic when I get back.  SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe............................

Um Kaley is still doing awesome potty training.  Well not even potty training.  She's had like 3 accidents since she quit the pull-ups three weeks ago!

Sam the new little boy across the street and his dad wandered over for a bit last night.  Kaley started bossing him around again immediately.  He took it all really well.  He's high strung but not pushy.  I can't stand those kids..opps... wait... that's my kid.  Ouch.  Ok new subject.

I'm listening to a book on CD I picked up at the library because it sounded intresting.  It's called The Religion.  The Religion being The Knights of St. John back in the 1500's. There's this big battle on the island of Malta vs. The Turks.  It so mirrors in my mind some of the things going on now.  Both sides think the other is in league with Satan and deserves to be aniliahed at any cost.  Seriously all the poor people on the island of Malta are dying these horrible deaths because of the battle.  Not to mention all the people actually fighting both voluntary and against their will.  The only difference is that the leaders on both sides (both 70 yr old men) are down on the battle field fighting with everyone else.  It was just very striking how both sides thought they were so right and the other was going to hell for sure.

Still loving the good ol' library.  Free books... who wouldn't?

Get this Robin Williams is coming to Richmond in October right near David's birthday.  I might get tickets if I can.  They go on sale Saturday.  But I don't know if he'd be good in person.  It seems like an opportunity not to be missed though.

Ok so quick peek inside Beckey's Head.

Few weeks back had apt. with head surgeon.  He said he was ok with watching and waiting since there was no growth and I hadn't had any other issues.  But he wanted me to meet with a Radiologist which I did today.  This guy was like the exact opposite of Head doc.  Young, funny, american.  I love him.  I'm almost sad he said....

DO NOTHING!  LIVE LIFE!  YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I have more time I'll relate the whole conversation b/c it was funny all around.

Also.....

KALEY HAS DECIDED TO BE POTTY TRAINED THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Like zero accidents just one day woke up and was like hey I wanna' wear big girl panties for real this time.

I really don't  feel like working today.  I'm just imagining when my little pointer turns into a hand pointing it's really giving my computer the finger.

Also  I don't trust calorie free drinks.  There's something not right there.  It's got flavor and color it's got to be coming from somewhere.  I don't trust them I tell ya.

Oh and I got Rocky Horror in the mail last night.  Yeah!  Anyone feel like a sing a long?

LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN...

Ha! I bet now I got it stuck in your head..Nanny nanny boo boo. (Kaley's new favorite saying)

I cannot believe I told David Saturday night I wanted to move back to FL. Ick!  But I was feeling weepy and depressed and wanted a babysitter.  He said ok we can look at it in a few years.  Uh in a few years Kaley will be in school and having sleepovers and I won't need a sitter.  Duh. Then Monday he called me at work and said he was talking to an agent trying to get comps on our house to see what it would go for.  Probably not what we need but still.  Hee hee.  Who knows.

On the other side we just went and met our new neighbors last night.  They are about our age and have a little boy 1 month older than Kaley and a 1 year old little girl!  yeah!  They were all over swapping free time!  They seem really cool too. The wife was like we are laid back I like wine he likes beer on a Saturday night!  Whoo Hoo our kind of people!

Oh and Hair apt. on Saturday desperatley needed it's been 10 weeks my roots look awful!  I'm trying to russel up a friend to see Batman.  Maybe I'll just go alone.  I've never done that but David is feeling bad for me now so....

Fairy Kaley

So it all stemmed from some mosquito bites.....

I gave Kaley some benedryl on Tuesday to help with an abundance of mosquito bites.  She was a bit drousy when I dropped her off at school but I figured she'd perk up in an hour or so.  Well...When I picked her up that afternoon her teacher was so happy for Kaley.  She had been an Angel all day.  Following directions, comign when called, not putting up a fight to do the smallest thing.  They have really been struggling with her because she just wants to do what Kaley wants not what you want.  They just don't know what to do with her.  She'll refuse to come in off the playground or follow the class to the lunch room etc.

So her Teacher said she had spoken to the nurse and found out that Benedryl has a similar effect as Ritalin and had I thought of getting Kaley checked out?  What?  Um I was thinking she was bored and I needed to get her involved in more things line.

Bad Mommy moment I did it for a few days because it was so nice to pick her up and here how good she had been.

(Pause)

Went to the Library at lunch and checked out Sugar Busters for kids and a couple books on hyperactivity that seemed more like behaviour modification.  We'll see.  I check back in on Monday.

But that was really yesterday.  Feeling better today.  I've got my Friday Afternoon Cd music on in my office with the door closed.  I've got to run some reports on Friday afternoons and I'll mess up if people keep walking in.  This is like the only time I close my door.  And let me tell you...It feels good!

This is a description of Kaley's sign and let me tell you it is so accurate.  especially the good-looking part.  I like how it's worded.  Hee hee.

Hell yeah
Today is kinda a Friday and boss is out of town.  That's a plus.  Slight hang over today (too much vodka last night). That's a minus.  I'm not sure if they balance out or not.

Had my follow up with my head doc last Thursday.  He was ok with my not wanting another surgery at this time since my tumor hasn't grown.  He did want me to meet with a radiologist before our next visit in Sept.  I'm not sure what will come of that.  Update on that later.

I finally had to take Kaley for her 3 year check up.  She's 3 1/2.  She weighs a whopping 25 lbs. and is 33 inches tall.  She had to get a shot and I told her it was to fix her listening ears.  Hee hee.  I'm so evil.  She wouldn't listen on the way out and I asked her if we needed to go back in.  Ha!  I love her though.  Starting tonight she is wearing panties the whole weekend I swear even if it kills me. She's got "The Sword and The Stone" as motiviation.  it won't work though.

Don't know why but I've been weepy this week.  I made a lunch date with a girlfriend from my old job on Sunday afternoon.  I need grown up time.  Plus I have a gift certificate to Sur La Table I have't spent.  Yeah!

I'm not dead

Thought for they day:  Hey now, Hey Now Girls just wanna have fun.  That's all they really want.  When the working day is done.  Girls just wanna have fun.

So I just checked out my friends page and realized I had been off here for way to long to try and catch up.  I've been slammed at work and just really haven't felt like posting much.

I had written up a nice long post about my vacation and all the cute adorable things my child did while in Florida but stupid LJ deleted it before I got to post it. My highlight was taking Kaley to the ocean for the first time.  She has never even see a lake before mind you.  She ran up to the boardwalk and just yelled "hey everyone come look it's the ocean."  She was also much confused by my dad's dog whose name is Cookie.  She thought that was just not right.  Pestered the in-laws cat until it decided to pester her back.  By the time she left the cat was loopy all wound up trying to get the dogs to play etc.  I think she was gonna miss Kaley.  Grandparents were in heaven seing their granddaughter for the first time in ages.  She's 3.5 now and my Dad hasn't seen her since she was 18 months.

We went to a hotel at Disney to a character dinner so she could meet Mickey and Minnie without going to the parks.  We lied and said she was 2 so she ate free.  Minnie bent over to talk to another little kid and my Dad took a picture of her ass.  Gawd!  I think she had the hots for my brother though she kept coming back to our table.

Hightlight of my week was making bruchetta out of the first tomatoes off my plants.  OMG they just popped!  I kept them on the porch this year after last years Deer attack.  I am still waiting to see if my squash and cucumbers come up.  They are flowering and someone told me to shake them so they will pollinate.  Kaley looked at me odd when we went out and were shaking the flowers.

ok well that about all I was thinking right now.  I was thinking before I missed my daughter.  I often have that thought cross my mind during the day.  I just have the urge to go get her and give her a hug.  I guess that 's not strange.

Visit to Michigan went well I suppose.  Mom was mega surprised to see Kaley and very happy.  She was having a crappy visit with my grandpa and that made it good.

Work sucks as always.  If one thing is good my boss always finds something that she can ride me about.

Relationship been going better.  I've not been having too many of the the "I'd be better off with out you" thoughts.  Someone posted lyrics saying "If I had only one friend left I'd want it to be you."  That hit home.  Plus he does try in his own way.

Got some nice booty fromt the MI trip.  two pair of pinking shears, an electric knife, box of jewlery, cute cookie cutters, nice Tupperware (real stuff).   Yeah.

Kaley has been making some small progress in the potty training area.

I was a bad Aunt and forgot my neice's B-day.  Sigh.

Downloaded two new ring tones:  Dana Carvey singing "chopping Broccolli" and Black Crowes "Jealous Again".

Haven't posted in ages but I really haven't had much to say I guess.  Sooo lets see.  Hmmm what to update about?????

Well Kaley stayed dry at school all day yesterday.  I'll take it.  Teacher said they went potty like a million times.  Oh that's it.  I just need to take her every 5 minutes.  Ugh I don't think I can stick with that.  I'll just invest in pull ups.

Going to Detroit on Wednesday to help my mom have a garage sale at my grandpa's house so they can start to get the house ready to sell.  He's supposed to be agreeing to move to Baton Rouge.  But not really.  My ticket was free with airline miles but David told me to go ahead and buy a ticket for Kaley.  I think he just didn't want to watch her for 4 days by himself.  He said it's important for my mom to see her.  I agree so he gets off the hook this time.

Ok I need some advice here.  I had a MRI in March and I need to schedule a follow up visit with my surgeon.  I think it's driving David nuts I'm putting it off.  But last time he tried to say he was worried about me I just said yeah well I was worried when you were driving drunk all the time so get over it.  (well that's not exactly what I said but I think it's what he heard.)  Anyhoooo...  I was watching Eli Stone last week and he just has a surgery to take out an anyursym (sp) and signed all these papers incase he became a vegetable etc.  He was weighing the risk of the surgery vs. the benefits.  These all got me thinking.  Well we have most of my tumor removed already.  It probalby isn't growing  (I'll find out for sure with my follow up visit).  Is it worth the risk to have the second surgery?  I mean the surgeon is going to say yes because that's what surgeons do - cut.  right?  Ok, now I know part of my reasons for saying all this is b/c I just don't want to have the surgery.  My head is perfectly content stuck in the sand.  But those are some good points right?

I know David will want to come to my follow up appointment with me.  So I guess I need to go over this with him beforhand.  Or should I just risk him being pissed and go to the appointment and not tell him?  What say you?
